Membership

Requirements for Membership.

To be a member of the Corporation, an individual must

(a) either be a health and rehabilitation professional;

(b) be of Indian Origin residing in the United States, and

(c) pay the membership fees, assessments, and any other consideration as determined by the Board.

Active Members

Upon payment of the annual dues prescribed by the Board, any qualified person may become an Active/Voting Member if such person works either as a health and rehabilitation professional, is of Indian origin residing in the United States, and wishes to promote the mission of the Corporation by making continuing contributions towards its goals.

Resident/ Fellow Members

This shall be limited to any person who is a resident, fellow, and/or post-graduate enrolled in accredited U.S. residency, fellowship, or post-doctorate training programs.

Student Members

Student Members. This shall be limited to any students enrolled in accredited United States universities in rehabilitation related programs as well as doctoral students from United States health-related academic institutions.

Membership dues shall be determined by the Board.

Associate Members

Associate Members. This shall be limited to affiliate members and professionals who no longer engage in active clinical or academic work. Associate members will not have privileges of active members. Membership dues shall be determined by the Board.

Any person who has made noteworthy contributions to the field of medical science and/or who has contributed significantly to the operation, progress or advancement of the goals similar to that of the Corporation may be recommended by the Membership Committee of the Board for honorary membership.

Upon approval of such person by a two-thirds majority vote by the Board, such person may have an honorary membership conferred upon them.

Membership dues shall be waived.

Honorary Members

Sponsor/Vendor

Any individual or for-profit institution. interested in financially supporting the Corporation may become a Sponsor/Vendor

Member upon payment of the annual dues prescribed by the Board
